About the 2026 Pension Calculator
The pension adjustment for retirees typically has four parts: a flat amount (the same for everyone), linkage adjustments (tied to contribution years and to your pension level), and tilt adjustments (extra for seniors and those in remote or hardship areas). After the state announces the overall ratio, each province issues its own implementation plan with different parameters.
The tool includes representative parameters for all 31 provinces, regions and municipalities. Pick your insured region to auto-fill the local flat amount, per-year rate and linkage ratio; enter your current monthly pension, contribution years and age to simulate the monthly increase, the adjusted pension and the one-off back pay, plus a share-ready text summary.
How to use
- Pick your insured region and the tool auto-fills its typical adjustment parameters
- Enter your current monthly pension, contribution years (including deemed years) and current age
- Adjust the per-year rate manually if needed (some regions price by tier)
- Tap "Calculate" to generate a shareable summary below
FAQ
Has the 2026 plan been announced?
The national adjustment notice usually comes mid-year, with provincial plans following and back pay from January 1 of that year. This tool simulates with representative parameters from past public plans; after the official 2026 plan is released, follow your local human resources and social security department.
How is the seniority link calculated?
Most regions add a fixed amount per full contribution year (e.g. 1 CNY/year); some price in tiers, e.g. different rates under 15 years, 16–30 years and above 30. This tool defaults to a single rate — edit the "per-year rate" to simulate tiered cases.
At what age does the top-up start?
Most regions start at age 70; some (e.g. Beijing, Zhejiang) start at 65, usually tiered: an extra tier at 70–79 and a higher one at 80+. Enter your age and the tool judges eligibility and includes it automatically.
