What is the Sentiment Index?

The Sentiment Index aggregates the Guba Top 100 by industry/concept sector and combines main-force and small-order fund flows into a retail sentiment gauge. Five dimensions (discussion heat, retail chatter, fund crowding, panic index, averaging-down intensity) form a 0–100 score — a contrarian reference for reading retail mood.

How often is the data updated?

Updated once after each trading day's close using East Money public APIs (Guba popularity list, sector quotes and fund flows); history accumulates daily from launch.

Do you recommend which stock to buy?

No. We only quantify retail sentiment — we never recommend stocks or timing. Readings of 0 or single digits for the panic index are normal and simply mean there was little panic in that sector that day.

How do I read the Sentiment Index?

Historically a score in the frenzy range has often coincided with local tops, while falling below the calm range has appeared near bottoms. If discussion heat and the panic index are both high, the market is sharply divided — read the sector breakdown rather than the total. For reference only, not investment advice.

Dip-buying intensityPercentile of retail (small-order) net inflow / turnover across sectors: the more institutions exit and retail buys in, the higher the score.

Retail scoreNear-equal-weight composite of the five dimensions (modeled on the CNN Fear & Greed method): heat 24% + retail 24% + dip-buying 18% + crowding 17% + panic 17%.

MethodologyThe concept board ranks by "discussion heat × money-flow anomalies" — true themes with big flows won't be buried by chatter; sectors with no stock in that day's Top-100 don't appear.
