How does it work?
PNG: Most PNGs use 24- or 32-bit true color at 3–4 bytes per pixel. Qingtu analyzes the color distribution and intelligently maps it onto a palette of at most 256 colors — 1 byte per pixel — with error dithering keeping gradients smooth. That's the secret to cutting size by more than half with almost no visible change.
JPG: Cameras and editors often stuff files with EXIF shooting data, GPS locations, thumbnails and editor notes — none of which help display. Qingtu strips them precisely without touching pixel data; quality stays 100% unchanged.
WebP: Advanced entropy encoding re-compresses the data, reclaiming extra size while keeping clarity.
AVIF / HEIC / SVG: After native browser decoding, the smallest of indexed-color PNG, JPEG and WebP outputs is chosen automatically, still honoring "never bigger than the original" — if it can't compress, the file is kept as-is. HEIC/HEIF requires Safari due to browser decoding limits.

Does compression degrade quality?

Which formats are supported?
